Brands Hatch is a prestigious racing circuit that has become a world famous racing venue holding some of the most successful motor sports events in the world and boasts being the venue of Nigel Mansell's first Grand Prix victory in 1986. The race track has been at Brands Hatch since 1926 but in 1954 officials changed the direction of the track to run clockwise instead of the unconventional anti clockwise direction it had been previously.
Whether you are a beginner to driving or a superstar racing driver, there are track days and experience days for you. Starting from kids driving school to driving off-road in a 4 x 4, a BMW M3 or a single seat car, you can live your dream of racing around a track (or off road in a 4x4). The driving experience days can be booked all year round on weekends and week days depending on when you want to come. Booking this in advance will secure you a place, allowing you to concentrate on getting a good time and learning new skills that can only be taught on a race track. If you feel you know what you are doing then you may want to bring your own car to a track day and see if you can beat your personal best times.
Coming up are a few international motorsport events that you may want to get tickets for. In the beginning of October there is the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship; the drivers will be fighting for first place in their penultimate race of 2011. There are three BTCC races scheduled for the Sunday with a bonus of a reverse grid in the last race.
If you prefer bikes to cars then you may want to hold out for the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship which promises some high speeds and exciting riding from the professionals. There are also formula two events, monster trucks and car tournaments coming up before the end of this year's racing season.
